The prize giving ceremony or Annual Day is the happiest day in school life. It is a day of great jubilation. On this day the talented students are rewarded Every school celebrates this day with much pomp.
THE PRIZE DAY AT YOUR SCHOOL
This year the annual day of our school was held on the 10th, May. Preparation was made under the guidance of our Headmaster. The school building was white washed. We decorated the school, stage and the gate with colour flags and flowers. The invitation cards were sent to all.
Variouscompetitions were held some days before the annual day. Separate competitions were held for boys and girls. I took part in Oriya and English essay and debate competitions and became first and second respectively.
The education minister was our chief guest. The Inspector of schools was the chief speaker. On the very day the invited guests came in time. We gave them warm reception.
The function started with an opening song by the girls students of class IX. Our Headmaster presided over the meeting. After the Annual report was readout by our assistant Headmaster. The chief speaker and the chief guest spoke a lot on sports and games. The chief guest gave away the prizes to the winners.
At the end of the function we displayed entertainment programmes like dance and songs. We can’t forget this day.
